TriZetto today announced that the Nashville Technology Council (NTC) has named Sal Novin, a TriZetto executive, to its board of directors for a three-year term. The NTC develops, connects and promotes the Middle Tennessee technology community. A leading healthcare IT firm, TriZetto provides information solutions to payer and provider organizations, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the business of healthcare.
“I’m excited to work with the visionary and talented board and staff of the NTC,” said Novin. “Together, we’ll build on the organization’s success in cultivating a collaborative, vibrant technology community in Nashville and throughout Middle Tennessee.”
Novin, who joined the board in early August, serves on NTC’s Programing committee. The committee drives the education and workforce development initiatives, drives member programming such as technology roundtables, member education programs and annual technology conferences. Novin is particularly passionate about programs “that can help new, incubating companies create their technology architecture and launch successfully.” He also sees NTC as a forum “that fosters the new, highly innovative ideas of younger technologists.”
At TriZetto, Novin serves as director of product development for the company’s Healthcare Process Automation Service. The service is a robotic staff augmentation solution that helps both providers and payers reduce administrative costs by performing work typically performed by people, such as claims examiners or billers. The robots replicate human decision-making to process high-volume claims from low to high complexity making it an ideal alternative to offshoring or using temporary staff. Clients are free to reassign staff to higher-level tasks and priorities. TriZetto’s Healthcare Process Automation Service can process more claims in a shorter timeframe with fewer desktops while typically achieving a first pass financial accuracy rate of more than 99.9 percent. With clients reporting an implementation time of a few weeks, real dollar savings and quality improvement can be realized faster than outsourcing or other solutions.
